Gaushala

Service of the cow holds a special place at Shri Prem Nagar Ashram. The ashram maintains a well-kept Gaushala where cows are lovingly cared for, fed and protected as a part of selfless service (seva). In Indian tradition the cow is revered as a symbol of compassion, motherhood and abundance, and tending to it is considered a sacred act of devotion.

The Gaushala is maintained with proper sheds, clean surroundings, nutritious fodder and timely medical care for the animals. Devotees and visitors are warmly welcomed to participate in this seva, and contributions towards the upkeep of the Gaushala are a cherished way of serving the ashram and earning spiritual merit.
